With easy-to-follow notes, practical exercises, and the flexibility to learn at your own pace, you’ll discover the magical world around you and unlock the power within.
This course has been awarded accreditation status by the CPD Standards Office ensuring the highest quality course content and learning outcomes. Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded your CPD certificate and 50 hours learning credits.

Once each unit is complete and assignments are submitted the next will become available allowing you to work through at your own pace. We recommend 12 months for completion however it is possible to work through and complete the course sooner.
What you'll learn
Ancient Magic
We begin at the roots, travelling back through ancient history to explore some of the earliest and most powerful figures connected with magic, myth and spiritual practice. You’ll meet Medusa, The Witch of Endor and Petronella de Meath, while also exploring Celtic magic, tribal traditions and the ways ancient people understood power, ritual and the unseen world.
Folk Magic
Step into the world of wise women, healers, herbalists and cunning folk. This section explores the folk practices of England between the 14th and 16th centuries, uncovering lost knowledge, traditional remedies, charms, protections and the everyday magic once woven into village life.
The Witch Trials
The 17th century cast a long shadow over the history of witchcraft. We’ll examine the beliefs and fears that fuelled the trials, including the influence of King James I, key sections of Malleus Maleficarum, the rise of Matthew Hopkins, the Scottish Witch Trials, the Salem Witch Trials and the eventual decline of witch hunting.
Tools of the Craft
Discover the traditional tools associated with magical practice, including wands, athames, cauldrons and staffs. You’ll learn their symbolism, purpose and how to work with them in a way that feels meaningful, grounded and personal.
The Elements
Learn to connect with Earth, Air, Fire and Water as living forces within magical practice. This section explores how the elements can support ritual, intention, energy work and personal connection, including the practice of Cloud Casting.
Altars & Circles
Create sacred space for personal rituals, seasonal practice and group gatherings. You’ll learn how to build an altar, cast a circle and create a ritual environment that feels both powerful and deeply personal.
Spell Casting
Move beyond borrowed spells and begin developing your own personal method of magical working. You’ll explore intention, focus, manifestation and desire, learning how to cast from a place of clarity, purpose and inner connection.
Green Witchcraft
Deepen your relationship with the natural world through trees, herbs and seasonal wisdom. This section explores how nature can become part of your magical practice, from plant correspondences to working with the land in a more intuitive and respectful way.
Black Magic
We also explore the darker and more misunderstood areas of magical practice, including curses, hexes, occult traditions and psychic protection. Rather than sensationalising these subjects, this section helps you understand them with maturity, discernment and grounded self protection.
A GROUNDED FOUNDATION IN THE OLD WAYS
By the end of the course, you will have a deeper understanding of the history, symbolism, practices and personal foundations of the Craft, giving you the confidence to continue your path with knowledge, respect and intention.
