With its timeless elegance, original period details and luxurious finish, Monnington House offers the perfect setting for a magical weekend retreat. This historic home holds the kind of presence you can feel the moment you arrive — from its grand brickwork and classic Georgian symmetry to the softly worn stone floors, traditional fireplaces, and charming original features that whisper of centuries past.
Inside, the house is warm, refined and deeply comforting — blending heritage character with modern luxury. Think candlelit rooms, beautifully styled interiors, spacious gathering areas for ceremony and workshops, and peaceful corners for journalling, reading and restoration. Outside, sweeping grounds and open countryside views create the perfect backdrop for grounding walks, twilight rituals and moments of deep reconnection with nature.
This retreat is designed as an immersive experience: a weekend of ritual, reflection, nourishing food, gentle magic and soul-deep rest — all held within the safe, luxurious sanctuary of Monnington House.
Whether you’re joining us to deepen your spiritual practice, reset your energy, or simply to breathe again, this weekend invites you to slow down, soften, and return to yourself.
As soon as you arrive at Monnington House on Friday evening your Samhain experience will begin.
After settling into your luxurious bedroom we will gather for a welcome drink and blessing.
Friday evening will be a time for magical conversation, relaxation and divination.
Together we will begin by creating an Ancestral Altar with photographs, keepsakes and memories, bringing together our combined energies in remembrance and honour.
On Saturday morning we will enjoy a continental buffet breakfast with warm croissants, toast, crumpets, preserves, cereals, granola, yoghurt, fruit compote and cheeses.
There will be unlimited hot drinks available throughout the weekend.
During the day you will have the opportunity to relax, socialise and participate in carefully crafted workshops.
On All Hallows Eve we will gather for a traditional 'Dead Supper' at a beautiful table dressed to honour our ancestors and mark our remembrance.
There will be a delicious feast, traditional honey mead and merriment.
During the evening we will hold our usual 'Secret Sister' gift giving - a beautiful exchange between the group.
There are 10 beautiful ensuite bedrooms at the house which can all be configured as twins.
Sleeping arrangements will be made on a first come first serve basis.
Guests who book together will share a room. Guests booking alone will be allocated to a shared room.
