With easy-to-follow notes, practical exercises, and the flexibility to learn at your own pace, you’ll discover the magical world around you and unlock the power within.


This course has been awarded accreditation status by the CPD Standards Office ensuring the highest quality course content and learning outcomes.
Access to your course materials will begin as soon as you enrol.
Once each unit is complete and assignments are submitted the next will become available allowing you to work through at your own pace. We recommend 12 months for completion however it is possible to work through and complete the course sooner.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Explain key concepts and historical roots of witchcraft, including cultural variations and modern interpretations.

Identify and describe basic tools, symbols, and elements commonly used in contemporary witchcraft practices, such as altars, candles, herbs, crystals, and the four elements.

Demonstrate foundational skills in grounding, centering, and energy work, including simple rituals and meditative techniques.

Construct and maintain a personal altar or sacred space that reflects individual beliefs and practices.

Create and perform basic rituals and spells with ethical awareness and clear intention-setting.

Record and reflect on personal spiritual experiences using a Book of Shadows or magical journal.

Recognize and apply principles of magical ethics and personal responsibility in their craft.

Explore and evaluate different paths within modern witchcraft, such as Wicca, eclectic witchcraft, and traditional folk practices.

Understand and analyse the moral implications of Black Magic.

Develop a personal daily or weekly practice to support ongoing growth and connection with the craft.
What you'll learn
Part 1 - The History of Witchcraft
-
Ancient Magic - we begin when records began around 2 BCE and move through ancient history to 1324 AD learning about 3 key icons of Ancient Magic - Medusa, The Witch of Endor and Petronella de Meath. You will also learn about Celtic magic and tribal traditions.

Folk Magic - we will then delve into the ways of the 'cunning folk' by exploring the role of wise folk, healers and herbalists between the 14th - 16th century in England, discovering lost knowledge and much forgotten remedies.

The Witch Trials - The 17th century was a dark time for Witches. We will examine the theories and beliefs of King James I, read key sections of Malleus Maleficarum 'The Hammer of Witches', learn more about The Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins, the Scottish Witch trials, the Salem Witch trials and the end of Witch hunting.
Part 2 - Practical Magic

Tools of the Craft - Understanding athames, wands, cauldrons and staffs and how to effectively work with them.

The Elements - Working with the powers of Earth, Air, Fire and Water to enhance your magical potential. Includes Cloud Casting.

Altars & Circles - Crafting sacred spaces for personal rituals and group gatherings.

Spell Casting - Learn the power of intention and manifestation to develop your own personal method of casting spells. You will learn to focus deeply within yourself, identifying your true desires and building the ability to cast effectively.

Green Witchcraft - Alignment with nature to harness the power of trees and herbs in your magical work.

Black Magic - examining Occult practises, curses, hexes and how to protect yourself and loved ones from attack.

No prior knowledge of The Craft is required, all we ask is that every Apprentice comes with an open heart and a willingness to learn.
